Golf is not for those who want instant results – although improvement can be rapid consistency is complicated but Kaddy points out: “It’s one of those games where it doesn’t matter if you are not that good because you are just having fun and even if you are not doing that well, you can always compare how you are doing to your worse shot so you are always going to have shots better than that!”
“I think the fresh air, just being outside enjoying the countryside and the fact that you can see yourself improving in just a matter of half an hour. If you are impatient, like me, to have a sport where you can improve that quickly is a win, win situation!”
FORE! WOMEN appeals to every type of women because of their engaging style and some people may come to FORE! WOMEN interested not just in golf but the benefits it brings – the beautiful surroundings and time out from a hectic life as well as exercise.
It is however still true that Golf is not a sport that springs to mind when women think of starting a new sport and that is something FORE! WOMEN are changing “I think Felicity [FORE! WOMEN] is breaking down a lot of stereotypes…” Kaddy says, and it is obvious she is passionate and believes FORE! WOMEN fills a niche in the world of golf.
When you think of golf what springs to mind? Countryside golf clubs and Argyle patterned jumpers? Skilled clusters of men taking bets concerning ‘nearest to the pin’? Whatever first thought crossed your mind, I bet it wasn’t TV and radio presenter Kaddy Lee-Preston swinging a golf club…but that is just what is happening through FORE! WOMEN. More and more women are taking up golf and Kaddy Lee-Preston has teamed up with FORE! WOMEN to learn how to play this well-loved game.
Here's a sneek preview of Kaddy's outfit that she'll be wearing at The Weald of Kent on Wednesday 17th September. Golfgeardirect.co.uk have kindly sponsored the outfit.
Watch Kaddy's story below, about her brief encounter with golf, through friends, and thoughts on attending FORE! WOMEN's golf morning on Wed 11th June at Marriott Tudor Park. She's looking forward to meeting you, having fun and enjoying a social get together with you and others who may consider themselves non-sporty, just like her. And seeing if golf is a game that she, and you, could play.
