We are frequently asked, ‘what should you wear for golf?’ Our quick answer, is whatever you feel comfortable in. When you’re first starting out in golf...whether you’re joining a group session or having an individual lesson (hopefully with a qualified golf coach or professional) you don’t want to be worrying about feeling uncomfortable in your clothes.

We have listed 3 items of clothing that it is okay to wear for golf when you're first starting out as a #GolfHer

Golf is all about confidence and if you feel comfortable in what you’re wearing you’ll be boosting your confidence no end. We can liken it to a time you may have had when you’re going out: for the evening, to an event or a meeting. There may be something that you desparately want to wear, you put it on and find that it is just not fitting well. You wear it any way or the shoes you chose are not as easy to walk in on a hard floor or pavement as they were at home on the carpet.

So, when you’re considering what to wear, have a look at these 3 basic clothing items that you can wear for golf. We have linked to House of Fraser, John Lewis and Uniqlo to give you an idea.

1. Choosing your top

There are 2 things to think about when you’re choosing a top:

1. Make sure that there’s no clothing flapping freely around your stomach/ waist or hands, and
2. Layers, if it’s too cold you can pull on another top or, if it’s too hot you can whip off one of the layers to your t-shirt or polo
